Habotai silk

The silk I use for my scarves is Habotai - Also known as "china silk" this is the classic silk fabric. I chose it because it has a soft and supple hand and a lustrous sheen.
The Habotai 8 is a medium weight, and is ideal for silk painting.

About

Original hand painted designs on silk scarves, inspired by the sky, the sea and the sun on the West Coast of Scotland. There are beautiful colours and light here and my silk scarves are a reflection of those different moods and tones that constantly change all year round.
